Hello, I am Josh Sykes, a photographer and documentary filmmaker, based in Margate since 2025.

I shoot exclusively on film, using an Olympus OM-1 from the 1970s. I love the chunky physicality of this old camera, the way it forces my busy brain to focus, and the rich, textured images it produces.

I head out with no particular agenda, with no screens or distracting tech, and follow my gut to capture scenes that are beautiful, inspiring or moving to me in some way. I hope my pictures convey that feeling, and resonate with you. Thanks for stopping by.
